Cristabella 2nd at Hublot Palma Vela

In its first TP52 regatta of the season, and flying a full suite of new Quantum sails, Cristabella captured second place at the Hublot Palma Vela held in Spain last week. Owned by John Cook of Britain, Cristabella finished ahead of Matador by two points and just behind first-place finisher Artemis. The field was small but highly competitive in Palma as all crews worked to fine-tune their performance in preparation for the Audi MedCup Circuit starting in three weeks. Quantum lead sail designer Dave Armitage sailed aboard the Cristabella and reports that most of the team is back from last year including Brendan Darrer boat captain and project manager. “We were sailing with a new rig and sails and had great speed throughout the event,” says Armitage. “We’re excited about the MedCup and feel ready to compete with the best of them next month."
